Meet Your Guide

Founder, Director & Lead Guide of Navadwipa Experiences. Vedic practitioner guiding spiritual seekers through India's sacred sites.
Syama Rupa das (Carlos Julio Jiménez Alzate) is a student and teacher of Bhakti Yoga with over 24 years of practice in the Brahma Gaudiya Sampradaya tradition. Initiated at age 18, he has dedicated his life to the study, practice, and teaching of Vedic philosophy.
His journey spans three continents: from Colombia, where he directed a yoga eco-village, to Trinidad and Tobago, where he worked with the Hindu community on pioneering projects, and finally to Mexico, where since 2011 he has promoted various Bhakti Yoga initiatives. Since July 2020, he leads Navadwipa Eco Yoga Aldea, an ashram dedicated to the study and practice of yoga philosophy in the Brahma Gaudiya Sampradaya tradition.
Since 2024, Carlos has been accompanying groups of travelers on transformative experiences through India, sharing his knowledge of sacred sites, Vedic culture, and the spiritual practices that have shaped his life. Each journey is an invitation to explore not only the temples and landscapes of India, but also the inner path toward personal transformation.
